You have reasons to smile:
- Your natural choice for biomaterial graft for your Dental solution
- Innovation and excellence
Currently a wide range of materials are used in Dental bone reconstruction procedures:
- Autograft: Disadvantages - very limited amount, the patient has to go through two procedures (painful bone grafting).
- Allograft: Origin mainly from corpses; Disadvantages - expensive, limited amount of material, risk of human-to-human disease.
- Xenograft: Origin mainly bovine and porcine; Opportunity – 'Off the shelf' ready to use product, most common and favorable in the market. Commercially available xenografts are mostly osteo-conductive i.e. provide a scaffold for bone formation. However, most of them are not osteogenic and neither osteo-inductive like Ivory Dentin Graft due to processing which usually eliminates all the active proteins molecules.
- Synthetic: variety of materials, mainly hydroxyapatite Disadvantage – non organic material.
Advantages of Ivory Dentin Graft vs. Bone derived material:
- Based upon scientific research and peer-reviewed publications on the advantages of autologous dentin grafts The first and only dentin biological graft that contains an active organic matrix, produced by Ivory Graft's patented, unique process
- Has the physical and mechanical properties matching the host bone
- Ankyloses - exceptionally strong fusion with the host jaw bone, enabling volume for prosthodontic rehabilitation
- Very slow resorption (several years) maintaining the surgical site's 4 dimension structure
- Powerful osteogenic properties
- Hard nature of dentin reduces vertical compaction and maintains graft volume levels
- Taking both advantages of `Dentin structure’ and ‘organic material’ Ivory Graft Ltd. has developed a xenograft tooth-derived product - the Ivory Dentin Graft - in order to expand the use of dentin-derived material for patients where autogenic tooth material is not available or suitable.
- Ivory Dentin Graft™ is a porcine-derived product with both inorganic and organic non-cellular components
- Bioresorbable bone graft material: In its structure Ivory Dentin Graft™ is physically and chemically similar to the mineralized matrix of human bone
Clinical Indications
Ivory Dentin Graft™ is contraindicated under the following conditions:
- In the presence of acute inflammation
- In patients with known or suspected hypersensitivity or allergy to porcine products
- In patients affected by immunological disorders
Instructions for Use:
Indication | Recommended quantity of Ivory Dentin Graft™ to be applied on the bone defect (grams)**: |
---|---|
Augmentation or reconstructive treatment of alveolar ridge | Varies |
Filling of infrabony periodontal defects | 0.25 – 1 |
Filling of defects after root resection, apicoectomy and cystectomy | 0.25 – 1 |
Filling of extraction sockets to enhance preservation of the alveolar ridge | 0.5 – 2.0 |
Elevation of maxillary sinus floor | 2.0 – 5.0 |
Filling of periodontal defects in conjunction with products intended for GTR and GBR | 0.25 – 1.5 |
Filling of peri-implant defects in conjunction with products intended for GBR | 0.25 – 1.5 |
**Other clinical parameters may also impact the recommended quantity to be administrated, e.g., size and anatomical site of the defect, bone quality at the recipient site, thickness of bone, poor blood supply, maxillary or mandibular defect, type of teeth (e.g., incisors, molars), functional load at defect for daily dental activity required, pressure from adjacent tissues, or external or internal augmentation procedure.
Available applications
1.Granules packed in a sterile barrier system consisting of capped glass vials packed in an outer blister.
2.Granules packed in a single sterile barrier system consisting of a delivery applicator – syringe packed in aluminum pouch.
Both types are packed in a single-packed carton box and provided sterile to the end user (sterilized by γ-irradiation for single use).
